Which iPhones work? iPhone XS and later, on iOS 17 or newer. The app uses the front and back cameras at the same time, which older phones cannot do. It does not run on iPad.
Why does it ask for camera, microphone and Photos access? Camera for the live effect, microphone so your recorded clips have sound, and Photos (add-only) to save the clips and stills you choose to keep. Nothing is uploaded anywhere — see the privacy policy.
Where do my clips go? Into your Photos library, named miirror_face000, miirror_face001, and so on.
The mask doesn't appear. Face the front camera in reasonable light; the mask fades in once your face is found. If the phone is very hot, tracking slows down until it cools.
